SEN Teacher – Primary Schools | Sheffield & Barnsley | Immediate & September Starts

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher ready to make a real impact in the lives of children with additional needs? Primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley are actively seeking skilled professionals to support and inspire pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Location: Sheffield & Barnsley

Role: SEN Primary Teacher (EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your expertise)

Start Date: Immediate and/or September 2025

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term & Temp-to-Perm

️ Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to pupils with EHCPs or additional needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, therapists and families to meet learning goals
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting approaches as needed
  • Support emotional, social and academic development with sensitivity and consistency

You Will Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine commitment to supporting every child
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
