Job summary

Term Time Teachers is seeking an SEN Teacher for a long-term role at a specialist SEN school in Maidstone, Kent. The position is three days per week, with pupils aged 5-13, focusing on communication and interaction needs.

SEN Teacher

3 days per week | Long-term | Specialist SEN Setting

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Contract Type: Long term 3 days a week

Pay Rate: £150- £350 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join a specialist SEN school on a long-term basis, working 3 days per week.

The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 5-13, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils aged 5-13.
  • Support children with communication, interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and the wider school team.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
  • Celebrate individual progress and achievements.
  • Contribute to a positive, nurturing and inclusive school environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
