Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Surrey, supporting autistic students aged 11–16.

The role emphasises delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching in a supportive environment with multidisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will hold QTS, have ASC/SEND experience, and be prepared to contribute to EHCP reviews while promoting positive student progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Experience in a special school with ASC/SEND.
• Ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum for pupils with varied needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and external professionals.
• Set, monitor and review personalised targets and report progress.
• Plan structured, motivating lessons and reflect on outcomes.
• Support reviews such as EHCPs/PEPs and attend meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of autism practice and PD.
• Model high standards of conduct and professional relationships.
• Manage delegated budgets and address challenging behaviour per school policy.

£34,398 - £48,913 per year (M1 UPS1 Fringe) **Plus £5,000 Welcome bonus For Qualified Teacher*

Hours:

40 hours per week-Term Time only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4.45pm. Tuesday 5pm and Friday 4pm

We are currently seeking a dedicatedTeacherwith ASC experienceto join a specialist school supportingautistic students aged between 11 16, whohave associated behavioural and communication difficulties.

The role:

As a Teacher you will deliver high quality teaching and learning to students within the school.

Key Duties:

• Deliver and develop the curriculum to meet students educational, physical, and social needs, using effective short-, medium-, and long?term planning.
• Work collaboratively within a multi?disciplinary team and maintain strong communication with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals.
• Set, monitor, and review personalised targets, assessing and reporting on student progress in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
• Plan structured, motivating lessons and reflect on outcomes to improve teaching practice.
• Contribute to reviews such as Statements, EHCPs, PEPs, and LAC meetings.
• Maintain up?to?date knowledge through professional development and awareness of current autism practice.
• Support curriculum development and model high standards of conduct and professional relationships.
• Manage delegated budgets responsibly and address challenging behaviour using school policies in a non?confrontational manner.

Experience /Qualifications:

• QTS is essential
• Experience of working in a special school environment and in particular with pupils with ASC and SEND
• Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs.
• Ability to teach across a range of subjects.
