Job summary

Polaris Education is seeking a SEN Class Teacher in Ipswich. The role is full-time, term-time only, with 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupils within a supportive school environment.

The position requires QTS, a degree, and prior experience in teaching and working with SEMH pupils. DBS checks apply, and there are opportunities for professional development within a friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviour.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during times outside lessons, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage engagement and positive learning outcomes.
