Job summary

Esland Group is opening a new SEN school in Doncaster and is seeking a qualified SEN teacher to deliver maths and science across key stages, supporting vulnerable pupils with SEND and SEMH. Role is full-time and permanent with core hours 8:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, offering a salary up to £43,194 depending on experience and qualifications and access to our pension, life cover and other benefits.

Role: SEN Teacher (able to deliver maths and science lessons)

Salary: up to £43,194 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Location: Doncaster, DN5

Contract: permanent

Hours: full time (core hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)

Interview date: October 2026 (TBC)

Role start date: between October 2026 January 2027

We are excited to announce that Esland will be opening a new SEN school in Doncaster in September 2026. This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity to be part of a new, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 7 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs.

Pupils are encouraged to cover a range of qualifications ranging from Entry Level Certificates, through Functional Skills to GCSE.

What we need from you

• Qualified Teacher status
• Sound curriculum knowledge surrounding mathematics and science (ideally across several key stages)
• Proven experience of working with specialist education for young people
• Proven experience of working with young people that challenge
• A committed, conscientious and passionate approach to inclusion
• The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
• The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members alike
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
• A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
