Job summary

CERT Solutions is seeking a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with challenging behaviour at a Tipton school. You will use de-escalation methods to keep the pupil safe and help them progress academically.

The role is full-time and focuses on building a supportive, nurturing classroom environment, working 1:1 and in small groups, with emphasis on understanding needs and consistent communication with the teaching team.

Qualifications

The right candidate must be able to use the correct de-escalation methods to ensure the pupil is kept safe and is progressing academically with their work.

The school we are working with is located in Tipton and require someone who is available full time. For this role it is essential for a successful candidate to build a good relationship with the pupil and to best understand their needs and how to overcome any challenging situations. There is a special approach to this and to ensuring that they are understood and listened to.

• Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• A strong understanding of special educational needs
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
