Job summary

CERT Solutions Ltd on behalf of a welcoming primary school in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who has additional needs, including autism. You will support the class teacher and SENDco to meet needs and progress toward targets.

The pupil is in year 3 but working at a lower academic age. You will provide tailored support, assist lessons, and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education, or SEN).
• Previous experience working in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of special educational needs.
• Patience, empathy and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Job description

Cert Solutions are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in West Bromwich. This school are seeking an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant to work as a 1-1 with a pupil who has additional needs. For this role you must be confident in delivering and tailoring sessions to work with a pupil who struggles to stay regulated and who has an autism diagnosis.

You will need to be able to work alongside the class teacher and the SENDco to ensure that the pupils needs are being met and that they are academically progressing towards their targets. The pupil is in year 3 but working at a lower academic age.
