Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school in Hertfordshire, supporting pupils aged 6-19 with autism, ADHD and SEMH. This full-time role is term-time only, with a salary of £22,996 to £25,068 per annum and a temporary-to-permanent contract.

You'll train on the job alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support, encouraging communication, emotional wellbeing and independence,

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required.
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Interest in psychology, therapy, education or mental health.

Location: Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire

Salary: 22,996- 25,068 per annum (actual salary, depending on experience)

Hours: Full Time Term Time Only Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

This is more than a Teaching Assistant role. You'll work within a specialist school alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals, supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH.
