Catering is seeking a Psychology graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Royston, Hertfordshire. This temporary-to-permanent role supports pupils aged 6-19 with autism and related needs, alongside therapists and teachers.

You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support, promote communication and wellbeing, and contribute to an inclusive classroom. The position is term-time with full-time hours, early mornings and some personal care where needed.

Qualifications

  • Psychology degree or related interest required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire
Salary: £22,996-£25,068 per annum (actual salary, depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time | Term Time Only | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Clinical or Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Teaching or Social Care?

This is more than a Teaching Assistant role. You’ll work within a specialist school alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals, supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH.

The Role
  • Support students in the classroom and throughout the school day.
  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support.
