Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil in a welcoming primary school in the B31 area, Birmingham. The role is full-time and starts ASAP, with ongoing, long-term commitment.

You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning, engagement and social development, promoting independence and positive behaviour in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• TA qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child within a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in the B31 area.

This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and would suit an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with SEN
• Supporting learning, engagement, and social development throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
• Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification is desirable but not essential
