Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil in a Birmingham primary school. Start ASAP and full-time, five days per week, in the B31 area.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing targeted learning support, promoting engagement, social development, and independence throughout the school day.

The role offers a long-term placement with a competitive daily rate and the chance to make a real difference in a child’s education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Patient, caring, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• TA qualification is desirable but not essential.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child within a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in the B31 area.

This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and would suit an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with SEN
• Supporting learning, engagement, and social development throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
• Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant TA qualification is desirable but not essential
