Job summary

Reed Education is recruiting three dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH/PSB school in Farnham on a full-time basis. You will support students with SEMH needs and help them overcome barriers to learning in a nurturing environment.

You'll work closely with teachers, reinforce behaviour strategies, build relationships, and contribute to personalised approaches that enable students to engage, progress and reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within SEN settings is essential.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs.
• A calm, resilient, and patient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people's lives.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and acting as a trusted role model.
• Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Assisting with behaviour management strategies.
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide the best outcomes for students.
