Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream school in Carlisle. You will support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, mainly on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups, helping them engage and develop.

You should be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic, with a commitment to consistent support. The role offers long-term opportunities, with both full-time and part-time hours, paid PAYE and access to CPD courses.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support
• A patient and positive approach
• Adaptability and a willingness to support pupils' individual needs

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2-1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Support learning, engagement and development of pupils with SEN
• Work within safeguarding policies and school guidelines
