Job summary

CERT Solutions Ltd is seeking a strong, committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work with young people with challenging behaviour, using the correct de-escalation methods to keep pupils safe and help them progress academically with their work.

The role requires building good relationships, understanding each pupil's needs, and applying tailored support in 1:1 and small-group settings while assisting the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
• Previous experience in a school setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of special educational needs.
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
