Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school in Harlow. You will provide 1:1 and small‑group support across both primary and secondary classes, helping pupils with communication, regulation and engagement in learning.

The role requires patience, resilience and a proactive team approach, with DBS on Update Service preferred. A rewarding position starting ASAP or September, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
