Job summary

CERT Solutions Ltd in Tipton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with challenging behaviour and complex needs. This full-time role requires building trust, applying de-escalation methods, and helping the pupil progress academically.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver inclusive lessons, support 1:1 and small groups, and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment while upholding safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SEN teaching assistant in a school.
• Strong understanding of SEN and challenging behaviour.
• Ability to de-escalate and support pupils safely.
• Patience and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support pupils with academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
