Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Beckenham (SE20) is seeking a 1:1 SEN TA to join their team on a full-time, ASAP start basis. The role is term-time only, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, supporting a SEN pupil in Key Stage 1 or 2.

You will need UK experience, safeguarding training, and be eligible to work in the UK. The contract runs until July 2027, with potential extension or permanent placement for strong performers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year KS1 or KS2 experience in the UK.
• SEN experience working with children.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a SEN pupil.
• Support classroom routines and behaviour management during lessons.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £100 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 OR 2 experience in the UK
• SEN experience working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
