Prospero Teaching is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN at a popular Putney primary school. The role is full-time and start ASAP, with potential extension or permanent consideration based on performance.

The successful candidate will join a supportive SLT and benefit from safeguarding training and ongoing professional development opportunities. This is a temporary contract for the current academic year, with July 2027 end date uncertain beyond that.

Qualifications

• SEN experience working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
• Minimum 1 year KS1 or KS2 experience in the UK

JOB TITLE - SEN 1:1 LSA

Prospero Teaching are looking for an SEN TA to join their team, full time, ASAP START!

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Putney, SW15.
• Type of work - TA - 1:1 support with SEN individuals.
• Position - Teaching Assistant
• Contract or position start date - ASAP START
• Duration / Likely Duration - Until end of the academic year July 2027 (possibly on-going)
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2027
• Contract or position type - Temporary Contract
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £100 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 OR 2 experience in the UK
• SEN experience working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
