Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an SEN TA to join a popular mainstream Primary School in Crystal Palace, SE20. The role is full-time, ASAP start, supporting children with SEN within the classroom.

The school offers ongoing training and potential extension or a permanent position based on performance. Working hours are 8:30am–4:00pm, term time only, with a daily rate of 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year KS1 OR KS2 experience in the UK.
• SEN experience working with children.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with SEN within the classroom.
• Work as part of a supportive teaching team to deliver inclusive lessons.
• Assist with general classroom support and behaviour management as needed.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 OR 2 experience in the UK
• SEN experience working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
