Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary & Secondary SEN School in Harlow. The role is full-time and long-term with an ASAP start, offering an opportunity to support pupils with autism, ADHD and complex needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, ASD/ADHD, a calm and patient approach, and the flexibility to work across ages. DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Willing to work across primary and secondary age groups.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Harlow that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
