Job summary

Academics is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, to support learners with special educational needs in a fast-paced school setting.

You will work 1:1 and in targeted groups to support learning and personal development, following personalised learning plans and safeguarding procedures.

Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm, term-time only, with a daily rate of £90-£105 DOE. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Supports learners in a classroom environment, including 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Contributes to creating a safe, encouraging learning environment.
• Supports social and emotional development through targeted activities.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in a classroom environment, on a 1:1 basis, and in targeted intervention groups.
• Help create a safe and encouraging environment to help learners thrive.
• Assist with learning and interventions to support social and emotional progress.
• Monitor achievements and help students reach their potential inside and outside the classroom.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
• Mentor learners so they can express themselves safely.
