Job summary

Academics is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Location: Cirencester; Salary: £90-£105 per day; Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-3:30pm; Start: ASAP; Contract: Term Time only.

You will support learners with SEN in classroom settings, 1:1 and group interventions, implementing personalised learning plans, and working with a skilled team. You will help ensure safeguarding policies are followed and support students to thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in SEN environments is beneficial but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
• Able to follow safeguarding policies and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learners in classroom settings, on a 1:1 basis, and in targeted intervention groups.
• Help create a safe and encouraging environment for learners to thrive.
• Assist with learning and interventions to support social and emotional progress.
• Monitor achievements and help students reach their full potential inside and outside the classroom.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
• Mentor learners to express themselves in a safe and controlled way.
