Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middleton, Greater Manchester. You will support pupils aged 3-11 with additional needs, helping them engage with learning in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or educational setting.
• Is willing to provide personal care support when required.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can adapt to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
• Is genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Holds relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of pupils.
• Assist with delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
• Help children overcome barriers to learning and achieve individual targets.
