Job summary

Colmore Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a caring SEN TA/Support Worker to join a specialist school in Northfield. You will support pupils with PMLD and complex needs to develop learning, communication and independence.

This role involves 1:1 and small-group support, working with teachers and therapists, promoting wellbeing and inclusive education. DBS checks required; prior SEN experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD and complex needs.
• Support pupils with their learning, communication and personal development.
• Assist pupils with developing independence and essential life skills.
• Support pupils with physical, sensory and communication needs.
• Build positive, trusting and respectful relationships with pupils.
• Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupils' development.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Support pupils with emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide appropriate personal care support where required and in accordance with school policies.
• Encourage pupils to participate in activities and experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
