Job summary

Colmore Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a caring SEN Support Worker for a specialist school in Northfield. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD and complex needs, helping learning, communication and personal development.

The role focuses on developing independence, daily living skills and emotional wellbeing, within a multidisciplinary team. Training and safeguarding are essential, with DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience with PMLD or complex needs is desirable.
• Ability to follow individual support plans and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD and complex needs.
• Assist pupils with developing independence and life skills.
• Support pupils' learning, communication and personal development.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and collaborate with teachers, therapists and SENCOs.
• Support personal care in line with school policies.
• Encourage participation in activities inside and outside the classroom.
