Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding primary in Wolverhampton. Immediate start until July 2027, supporting pupils with SEN to access learning.

You will work with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver targeted support, run short interventions, provide 1:1 assistance, and help pupils regulate and re-engage with learning using visual supports and clear routines. A psychology degree and DBS status are required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Patient, empathetic approach to working with pupils.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS or DBS held.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted support for pupils with SEN.
• Run short, purposeful interventions and 1:1 assistance.
• Use visual supports and clear routines to aid learning.
• Keep concise notes on impact and share next steps with staff and parents.
