The Education Network is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding primary in Wolverhampton. Immediate start until July 2027, supporting pupils with SEN to access learning.
You will work with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver targeted support, run short interventions, provide 1:1 assistance, and help pupils regulate and re-engage with learning using visual supports and clear routines. A psychology degree and DBS status are required.
Do you want meaningful, school-based experience before teacher training or an Educational Psychology route? Could you provide calm, consistent support that helps pupils with SEN access learning and thrive?
Work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to deliver targeted support for pupils with additional needs. You'll run short, purposeful interventions, provide 1:1 assistance, use visual supports and clear routines, and help pupils regulate and re-engage with learning. You'll keep concise notes on impact and share next steps with staff and parents.
You hold a psychology (or related) degree, communicate clearly, and bring a patient, empathetic approach. You can follow support plans, maintain firm but fair boundaries, and build trust quickly with pupils and families.
This 'Outstanding' primary in the Wolverhampton has a strong inclusion culture and well-established SEN provision. You'll join a supportive team with clear routines, shared resources and practical coaching to help you make impact quickly.
