Job summary

Hempshill Hall Primary School in Nottingham is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in our SEN Hub, Monday to Friday 8.30am–3.30pm, term-time only. The role focuses on helping children access the curriculum and environment and supporting individuals with additional needs.

The successful applicant will work as part of a friendly, experienced team, establish strong relationships with staff and parents, be willing to undertake CPD, and assist with feeding and intimate care where

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Commitment to inclusion.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to support others with similar needs in small groups.
• Adapt the curriculum to make it accessible.
• Establish strong relationships with colleagues and parents/carers.
• Be willing to access CPD.
• Help with feeding and intimate care needs for children.
• Willing to undertake training in de-escalation techniques, including physical intervention.
• Remain calm in high-pressure situations and nurture relationships with pupils.
