Veritas Education in Wakefield is seeking an SEN Support Mentor to work across specialist schools and SEN settings. You will support children with Autism, learning disabilities, and communication needs in 1:1 and small-group settings, helping with sensory activities, play and emotional regulation.
The role offers flexibility between full-time and part-time hours, with DBS checks and safeguarding training encouraged.

We are looking for passionate, confident and resilient SEN Support Mentors to join a range of specialist schools and SEN settings across Leeds and the surrounding areas.
As an SEN Support Mentor, you will work alongside Teaching Assistants, Teachers, Leadership and external professionals to create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment.
You will support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, communication difficulties and social, emotional and behavioural needs.
The role may involve 1:1 and small-group support, sensory activities, play, creative learning, communication development and supporting emotional regulation. Some settings may also require support with medical, physical or personal care needs, following appropriate training.
