Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join schools across East London. The role is full-time, term-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with daily pay between £95 and £120.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, helping them achieve academic goals while maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. A relevant SEN background and good communication are highly valued.

SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: East London

Pay: £95-120 per day

Veritas Education is partnering with SEN and specialist schools across East London to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to make a real difference supporting students with special educational needs and learning difficulties. These are full-time, term-time positions, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

We are looking for candidates with experience supporting students in an educational setting, particularly those with SEN or additional needs.

Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support Assistant:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
• Work proactively to help students meet their academic goals.
• Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
• Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the teacher in general learning and student development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Professional experience supporting pupils with SEN, additional needs, and learning difficulties.
• A strong understanding of special educational needs.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
• Reliability and a commitment to supporting students progress.
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
• The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.
• A relevant degree and training in SEN are an advantage
