Job summary

St John Bosco College in Battersea is seeking an able Learning Support Assistant to join our Catholic, inclusive school community. You will support pupils with SEN, including autism, in 1:1 and small-group settings, helping literacy and communication development while fostering independent learning. The post is fixed-term until 22 July 2027, part-time 20.5 hours over Mon-Wed, term-time only, with a competitive salary (£16,208 p.a.

pro rata). Closing date 15 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEN, preferably autism.
• Good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Calm, patient and empathetic with excellent communication.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support SEN students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and communication skills and independent learning.
• Assist with maintaining a supportive inclusive classroom environment.
