Job summary

Remedy Education seeks SEN Support Assistants to work across Greenwich, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and surrounding South East London schools. You will support pupils with learning, emotions and behaviour, under the guidance of teachers, helping them progress toward individual targets.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
• Experience gained in a school, care or youth setting is valuable.
• Personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs is relevant.

SEN Support Assistants Needed - Greenwich, South East London

Are you a nurturing, calm and positive individual with experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Remedy is currently recruiting SEN Support Assistants to work in busy, welcoming and supportive SEN provisions across the the South East London area, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and Greenwich.

The Role

• Support pupils with their learning, emotional and behavioural development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
• Help pupils achieve their individual targets and make progress.
• Build positive relationships and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each child.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential. This may have been gained through:

• A school or educational setting
• Care work or support work
• Youth work
• Personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs
