Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking committed SEN Classroom Support staff to work in a range of schools in Greenwich and Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced in working with children and young people, and wants to develop their skills in both education and SEN settings.

They are looking for someone with a patient, calm and compassionate approach, strong communication, and a genuine desire to help young people overcome barriers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in school, care, youth work or similar setting.
• Prior SEN Classroom Support experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Some knowledge of Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour.

• Support pupils with additional needs in SEN settings.
• Assist teachers and support staff in delivering activities.

What we’re looking for

SEN Classroom Support will ideally have:

• Experience working with children or young people, whether in a school, care, youth work, support or similar setting.
• Prior experience as SEN Classroom Support staff would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Some knowledge or experience of Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• A patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a supportive team.
• A genuine desire to help young people overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
