Job summary

Remedy Education are recruiting a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in East London. You will support older pupils with a range of additional needs and help them stay engaged and progress.

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you will deliver targeted 1:1 and group support, adapt your approach, and help pupils access lessons, develop independence, and manage behaviour with patience and consistency.

100- 117 per day Full-Time

Remedy Education are looking for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in East London.

This role would suit someone who is comfortable supporting older pupils and understands how to adapt their approach to meet a range of additional needs. You'll be working closely with teaching staff to help pupils stay engaged, develop their independence and make progress both academically and personally.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEN
• Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support
• Helping pupils access lessons and classroom activities
• Supporting communication, confidence and independence
• Helping pupils manage behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with interventions and personalised learning
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
