Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting enthusiastic SEN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with ASC, ADHD, SLCN, and other needs in a Wellingborough school. You will work with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support and promote inclusive learning.

The role is full-time, ASAP start, with opportunities for long-term engagements. Strong communication, patience, resilience and empathy are essential; relevant qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• Patience, caring, resilience and empathy required.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Understanding the importance of individualised support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident supporting pupils with challenging or complex needs.
• Passion for helping every child achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils to help overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to plan and deliver support.
• Promote independence and an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt approaches as needed.
