Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a school in the Amesbury area of Wiltshire. The role is full-time, long-term with a potential temp-to-perm path and starts 11 September 2026, with a deadline of 30 September 2026.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support learning activities, help create a positive classroom environment, and assist pupils to progress, build confidence and enjoy their time at school.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
• Providing additional assistance to individuals or small groups
• Helping teachers prepare and deliver engaging learning activities
• Encouraging pupils to participate and remain focused
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development
• Helping maintain positive classroom routines and behaviour
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Assisting with general classroom organisation and day‑to‑day activities
• Supporting pupils to become more confident and independent learners
• DBS check required before starting
