Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support to pupils.

Luma Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting in a rural location near Andover, Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and resilient education professional who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning, confidence and development.

The successful candidate will work alongside teaching and support staff, providing tailored assistance to pupils with a range of additional needs within a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support
• Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in lessons
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning programmes
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Promote independence, confidence and resilience
• Contribute to a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team

The setting supports pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.

Experience with PRICE, TeamTeach or other positive behaviour support approaches would be beneficial.
