Job summary

Reed is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist unit in the United Kingdom. You will deliver differentiated lessons and support pupils with autism, SEMH, SLCN, and complex learning needs in a collaborative setting.

You will plan and review EHCP targets, work with Teaching Assistants and specialists, and build strong relationships with families and external agencies. A genuine passion for inclusive education and patience are essential to help every child thrive.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Develop and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to achieve the best outcomes.
