Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in secondary settings across Bury and Rochdale. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help students access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Working with teachers and SENCOs, you will help implement targeted strategies, promote positive behaviour and foster strong relationships with students, staff and parents. Immediate starts available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Patient, caring, proactive approach
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Experience in a secondary school setting preferred
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in secondary education?

Veritas Education is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of secondary schools across Bury and Rochdale. These roles offer both short-term and long-term opportunities, with immediate starts available for the right candidates.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Experience in a secondary school setting is desirable
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or willingness to obtain one
