Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting Educational Health Care Assistants to support pupils in various SEN school settings across primary and secondary ages.

The role combines personal care with classroom support, working with staff, therapists, and pastoral teams to provide holistic care and education on a temporary, agency basis. It offers flexible, term-time hours with weekly pay and potential opportunities to move to a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in either care or education is essential.
• Patient, compassionate, and professional approach.
• Willingness to support with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided).
• Good communication and teamworking skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene routines.
• Assist in delivering classroom-based learning and therapeutic activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Promote pupils' development in line with individual care plans and EHCPs.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may have autism, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.
