Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting Educational Health Care Assistants to support pupils across SEN schools in both primary and secondary settings. This agency-based, 0-hour contract offers weekly pay and potential progression to permanent roles, with training in safeguarding and moving and handling.

Responsibilities include personal care support, classroom assistance, and promoting pupil development within EHCPs. The role is on-site in school environments requiring flexibility and commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or education is essential.
• Patient, compassionate and professional approach.
• Willingness to support with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided).
• Good communication and teamworking skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene routines.
• Assist in delivering classroom-based learning and therapeutic activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Promote pupils' physical, emotional, and social development in line with their individual care plans and EHCPs.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may have autism, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
