Do you have the vision, dedication and expertise to contribute to supporting children with complex needs achieve their full potential? We are seeking an experienced and committed SEN teaching assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive school.

  • Delivering targeted interventions and therapies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
  • Providing personal care and managing medical or sensory routines where required.
  • Using visual aids, communication systems (e.g. PECS, Makaton), and sensory tools to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Promoting emotional regulation and resilience using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Maintaining accurate records of progress and behaviour and contributing to EHCP reviews and multi-agency planning.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support.

  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and the values of inclusion and respect.

Our offer to you
