Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to work with KS4 (and above) students with SEMH and complex needs at Maypole School (Streatham and the surrounding areas) in London.

This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, trustworthy, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in high-pressure situations and deal with constantly changing priorities.

Working offsite in the community with a ratio of 1:1/2:1 staffing, the aim is to engage the students with their education. This includes teaching basic Maths and English (Functional Skills up to L2) and attending activities such as Trampolining, Gym, Music Studio, Horse-riding and whatever else the students may like.

  • Along side the above, the student may attend college courses and/or work experience where staff are also expected to support.
  • Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
  • Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
