Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Mainstream Primary School with a SEN Provision in Chelmsford. You will support pupils across age ranges, focusing on ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs while collaborating with teachers to deliver lessons and targeted interventions.

Qualifications

Experience working within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), Alternative Provision, or similar setting.
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN and behavioural difficulties.
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
Flexibility to adapt to different age groups and settings within the provision.

Responsibilities

Support pupils across primary with a range of age groups and learning abilities.
Work closely with pupils presenting ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.
Build positive, supportive relationships that encourage engagement in learning.
Assist with behaviour management strategies and create a safe, structured environment.
Support teachers in delivering lessons and provide one-to-one or small group interventions.
