Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs at a welcoming primary school in Farnborough. The role starts September 2026 and is full-time, term-time only.

You will provide 1:1 support, deliver targeted small-group interventions, and help pupils with SEN including Autism, ADHD and SEMH to access learning and develop socially and academically.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting.
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other learning needs.
• Patience, empathy, resilience and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support for pupils with SEN in learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Deliver targeted small-group interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, communication and social development.
• Support children with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs.
• Foster positive relationships to help pupils develop socially, emotionally and academically.
