Job summary

Academics is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Camberley to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2026. You will deliver 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, including those with autism and other needs, in a nurturing and collaborative environment.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday during term time, with pay between £92 and £105 per day depending on experience. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to a child’s learning journey.

Role Details

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning both inside and outside the classroom.


• Deliver targeted small-group interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development.


• Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, and moderate learning difficulties.


• Foster positive relationships with pupils, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school, specialist provision, nursery, or similar educational setting.


• Have knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs.


• Demonstrate patience, empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
