Job summary
Randstad UK in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant for flexible 1:1 support across primary schools. You will provide tailored 1:1 assistance and lead small group intervention sessions to help pupils with SEN while adapting to varying learning needs.

Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on SEN experience in primary educational settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour.
- A hands-on approach to assisting both students and classroom teaching staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with pupils and school teams.
- Strong, empathetic classroom and behaviour management techniques.
Responsibilities
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for individual students with SEN needs, as well as leading small group intervention sessions.
- Assisting teachers with delivering engaging, interactive lessons tailored to varying learning abilities.
- Fostering an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
- Diffusing challenging situations and guiding pupils toward positive educational outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff for a seamless learning experience.
