Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for flexible supply roles in primary schools. You will work 1:1 with pupils or in small groups, supporting learning and behaviour in inclusive classrooms.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months SEN experience in primary settings, with experience in autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviours, plus a proactive approach. Weekly pay and a supportive consultant are provided.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in primary settings (min 6 months).
• Direct experience handling autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
• Hands-on approach to support teachers and scaffold learning.

Responsibilities

• Support primary pupils on a 1:1 basis or in targeted small groups.
• Collaborate with main teachers to deliver accessible and interactive learning activities.
• Promote pupil independence, confidence and positive behaviour in class.
• Create a structured, safe and inclusive setting for diverse learning profiles.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues to align on learning plans.
