Job summary

The Esland Group Ltd. is seeking a committed SEN Teacher for Daven School in Congleton. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality lessons for primary pupils with SEND/SEMH, developing ILPs and supporting EHCP processes. A supportive team and strong safeguarding framework are in place.

Applicants should have QTS and a relevant degree, experience in phonics, and a calm, inclusive teaching style. The position is full time, with a 8:30am–4:30pm schedule, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

  • QTS and relevant degree required.
  • Experience teaching primary level across a range of subjects.
  • Understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH.
  • Experience in phonics.
  • Strong inclusive teaching and behaviour‑support strategies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
  • A calm, reflective and relationship‑focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to learning, development and good practice.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects, tailored to individual needs.
  • Work with Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support academic and personal development.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings with clear leadership guidance.
  • Create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, families and external professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, with strong systems and senior support in place.
  • Responsibilities will be appropriate to the role and backed by senior leaders.
