Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist setting supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) in Brierley Hill/Dudley.

You will assist with tailored learning activities, alongside teachers, to support communication, independence and development. The role involves safeguarding responsibilities and a DBS check, with daily rates up to £105 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
• Strong understanding of complex SEN needs and individualized learning support.
• Patient, caring, resilient and confident adapting approach to different needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored educational support to pupils with PMLD.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging, accessible learning activities.
• Support pupils with communication, sensory engagement, social development and independence.
• Adapt approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Encourage participation in classroom activities and help pupils achieve targets.
• Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and professionals.
